TEDxKatowice is part of the global TEDx program, bringing the spirit of TED and its mission of spreading ideas worth sharing to a local community in Silesia.
About the project
2025 years edition of the event was held under the title THE END OF THE FUTUREThe identity is built around the motif of the clock. Distorted and deconstructed clocks appear across the visual system, suggesting moments when time pauses, shifts, or stops making sense.
The concept reflects the event’s themes: the tension between present and future, uncertainty about what comes next, and the value of slowing down to reflect.
Hi! How do you see the future?
Instead of names, the conference badges featured open-ended prompts (e.g. If I could turn back time..., I have learned from the past that..., The world of tomorrow will... etc.).
Participants filled them in with their own thoughts, then exchanged prompts and responses with others. This simple shift turned a simple badge into a conversation starter, encouraging interaction and reflection from the very first moment of the event.
Learn, Reflect, Repeat
We designed an interactive timeline placed outside the auditorium to extend the conference experience beyond the talks. Marked with the event’s lectures, it invited participants to add their reflections on four thematic blocks using red notes. The timeline became a shared space for discussion during breaks, reinforcing the idea that dialogue and exchange are a core part of the TEDx experience, not just an add-on.
